“Worked with Dak today. Serviced 4 units. Did troubleshooting on a 5 ton unit. Instead of replacement, found a problem that will be pretty easy to fix and not very expensive. Will correct the issue instead of buying a new unit. Not everyone is as thoughtful as Cy-Fair Mechanical and Dak. Much appreciated! They're honest and get the job done. That's why I use them. “I called Cy-Fair Mechanical on a Sunday evening when my A/C unit went down and Dak was quick to respond with a callback. We discussed the issue and he scheduled a technician for 8am the following morning. Clayton was onsite by 8am and quickly diagnosed the problem and headed to the parts house. Upon his return and installation of the new fan motor he also found the motor start capacitor was the wrong size. This capacitor was previously installed by another company and was oversized, which certainly could have contributed to the motor failure. Clayton was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and worked quickly to get our unit back up and running to keep us comfortably cool. After Cy-Fair Mechanical was recommended, I reached out to Mr Terry with my concerns, and he promptly replied setting up an appointment. I had no need to worry because Mr Terry was fabulous. He listened to my concerns, checked out my system, and explained everything. He changed the disgusting filter (my fault) and set me up with a yearly maintenance plan which was frankly much less expensive than I was expecting.
